Most downbeat/chillout I've heard is very melodic and uplifting "happy music". Im looking for some real "down" downbeat or chillout, with dark, sad, evil or angry sound. Anyone got some ideas?           Ut ameris, amabilis esto.

Traveller, have the Morphem album, but thanks anyway. 15 Seconds is a very good track, that's the kind of stuff I'm looking for. (Sora I dont even dare check out, the monkey scared me away. )

I dont find Stress Assassin very 'downish', but I'll check out the Spiritjack album, hope it's more what I'm looking for.           Ut ameris, amabilis esto.

I recommend you to listen to Loop Guru or Christos Chyriakides, the last one is really very dark ambient.....

high,
ultimae label holds some dramatic psy chill out.
Farenheit project series of compilations are good, for your search, and some artist releases too, including Asura and Aes Dana.

Excellent suggestion, unno !

I follow Ultimae Records since the beginning and i enjoy very much the musical conception of this Label !!!

Lately, i'm "in LOVE" for Aes Dana - "Season 5" but Asura, Solar Fields and the Fahrenheit Compilations, as you mentioned, are also fantastic.

And the Website is really cool (check the Links section):

U wanna really dark Chill stuff ?

(I won't mention especially "recent" stuff..)

* 2002 "Charts" (loOl) :
---------------------------

~ Guro Nation -- "New Religion" (Agitato)
~ Red Seal -- "Are U Afraid Of The Dark ?" (Flying Rhino FreeStyle)
~ Sixth Sun -- "It's For You" (Atomic)
~ Red Back -- "SkatePark (Big Als Theme)" (Sub Atomic)

* Classics for the posterity :
-------------------------------

~ Spyrallianz -- "The Re-Entry" (Available on Spirit Zone & Insolation)
~ D.I.M.O. -- "Stiren Not Stalken" (Insolation)

* Also (try to) check those whole Comps :
-----------------------------------------------

~ Miditation 2 (Ceiba Rec - 2002)
~ FreekStyle (more Pumping.. Blue RoOm - 2000)

And many of the tips mentionned here by my ChillCompanions (loOl) are very effective !!

PEACE (give it a chance)

Juno Reactor - Luciana

64 minutes of a downbeat trip to hell (and back). downright scary mate.           the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist....

Check Iboga's New Entry, it has some pretty dark bits. Interesting blend of styles too - I've been really surpised by this.

a shining light does dance,
lost from conscious memory,
but visible in trance!
