If you see something that you think is offensive, you can send a PM and I'll take a look

Why a "sigh".. Is it that boring to you karnaf?

no, not boring at all EP.

this is just a conversation that is going no-where. without reading the threads discussed here, I cant reply properly. No one can direct me to those threads therefore I can't do anything, and so my sigh is just me saying - well, this is how it goes, lets move on shall we?

about double standards? hell we have those, not officialy, but we are all human and we are all subjective (besides Arafela who's a bot). You can't avoid it and there is no reason too.

Please REMOVE my cellphone number from any SMS spam list you may have. Thanks.

Sure, let's get an editor in chief and run this like a newspaper. Let's limit ourselves to proper English, NEVER use any generalization of any sort, let alone talk about something that we don't like. Let's not say anything obviously unpleasant, let's just be condensending about it. Let's make rules that aren't flexible. Let's keep this simple, boring, dull, impersonal and proffesional.

The board guidelines are not written in stone, there is a 'spirit' to the board, in which things like freedom of speech and political correctness are juggled around, trying to find a balance that'll fit the psytrance scene - intelligent, free, and with good vibes. Of course, this is open to interpertations, but seriously, when someone uses 'black' to describe skin color it doesn't necessarily make him a racist. There is place to learn the details of each case and follow it, and that is what the moderating is all about. You think the job is done badly? Tell us how to improve it, we are reasonable people (or try to be). As to political correctness - if we'd try to enforce that we'd get 2148012564712 times more comments about the moderators being the "mind police". We're all grown up here and understand that sometimes an offence isn't meant by using certain terms. And sometimes an offensive term is aimed at people who earned it rightly, and instead of saying "people who act like gangsters, take a shitload of E or get drunk and start a fight, don't care about the music at all as long as it's 'strong stuff', whatever that is, and should stay the f*ck away from parties as they ruin it for everyone with their attitude of 'the whole party is just for me'... JUST HATE THOSE GUYS GAH@#!#!@!@#!@#" and instead use 'arsim' (there are similar words used in German, England and many other European countries, in the US, in America in general... all over the world actually). No one considers 'redneck' a racist word, and sometimes 'arsim' is used in the same way 'rednecks' is. Where's the limit on political correctness? When it gets petty.

If there is a double standard for the moderators, it is that we keep a higher standard of self-censorship than we expect from others. I am positive that most (if not all) moderators work this way.

And EP: by saying that all people that use the word 'arsim' are racist, you are making a wild generalization. Stay away from those double standards, will ya?           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

First where did I say that all people using the word "Arsim" are racists? I never did and you know it kaz....

But I also find it quite racistic and very judgemental to call a person a "redneck" too ... And here in Denmarrk we too have similar expression which indeed are seen as a racist defenition - by the majority of Danish people. Maybe it's also something to do with how we see things?

But tell me. How come it's not ok to defend the Palestinians without being called a anti-jew in this forum (remember the thread where someone accused them for being behind all copying of pirate CD's to support terror)?
As I remember there was a big uprising against a few of us Europeans for daring questioning the "authors" intentions with his post. None of the moderators seemed to have any problems that some Isralies more or less called us anti-jews and basically insulted us openly in the forum in various ways... How come nothing was done to stop that? Well yes something was done... Erasing mine and the other European in question threads! I do indeed see a doublestandard here..

I dont understand why the moderators get so defensive when someone dare to question the way they moderate... Why not just aknowledge that it can be done better at times? It have to be said that there some moderators are faster to use their "Authority" and personal taset/opinion than other moderators... And yes they are indeed humans that also make mistakes.... No problem about that.... Just admit it when you do those mistakes instead of denying it or excusing it with repeating the rules of the forum - as I see in the above posts by some of the moderators
I know for a fact that other people in this forum do think the moderation by some moderators could be better... They just dont like to get into conflicts as I do....LOL Thats why they keep quite...

Your welcome to erase this thread because I mention things that are not political correct in this forum
