As i wright these lines, i'm still recovering from an amazing night!
-=Location=-
We arrived at the location around 04:15, after following the most unclear instructions i'd ever heared [the girl on the recorded message kept on mumbling the names of the juncionts, and made it hard to follow]. Anyway, after a relativley short drive through some rocky terrain & paths, we got to the spot. And what a beutiful spot it was! A green-yellow patch of grass & weed, surrounded by some trees, made-up the dancefloor. Around it were vast landscapes, which reminded me abit of the Savana areas ["the bush"] in Kenya. And as if that wasn't enough, then right by the spot was a lovely lake!
-=Music=-
when we arrived [just after 04:00], Yuval was on the decks. He was spinning some stomping night music, which really made me dig like I haven't done for a while. This was pure evil nightstompin'! After Yuval , i'm not sure about the order of the dj's. There was this big dark dude with long black hair who came up next [i think it was Blanka... not sure]. Anyway, the dude destroyed the dancefloor with some powerfull full-on. I admit that it made me dance, but after a while, it just got boring and very very very repietive. After him came a dude with a kibbutznik hat ["Cova Tembel"], and a "Doof" T-shirt. Dunno who he was, but i'm thinking maybe shahar zirkin. He continued with the storming fullon. and by now the dancefloor was raising dust!
-=Crowd=-
In one word - Excellent! Doof always have a great crowd, and last night was no exception. Sooo many smiling people and happy faces. I think there were around 300-350 people [rough estimation], creating a great vibe in the morning.
apart from that, we had some funny stories - like this one guy, who suddenly came up to us and said: "don't get scared". Then he walked away, put a firework on the ground and lit it up. never seen that at a party... funny
Overall:
Great party, beutiful location, beutiful people, powerfull music [although sometimes too repietative], and excellent vibes. Thanx to the guys'n'gals from "Doof"! keep the underground spirit alive and kickin'!

why go to a party to sleep? I Don't get the idea!!!
Another thing that have caught my attention... Can anyone explain me why people arrive at 4 - 6 in the morning? Seem kinda weird to me.... are people really that lazy here?
A party is surposed to be a journey not a 3 hour morning experience.... of course this is my opinion only ! |

elysium> i usualy get to parties around 02:00, and leave around 10:00 [8 hours]. Last night by chance we left very late [we were watching a movie and at 02:30 we spontaniously decided to go to the party].
Anyway, i agree with what you said about people only coming for the morning. i think it's wrong, as the night is an integral part of the experience... I posted a thread on this exact subject a while ago:

it's not allways that.
there are several factors that need to be entered to the equation:
1. the weed factor: when people are stoned it takes them more time to get all orgenized and find the place.
2. people factor: people come in late at the party so it would be full, so they won't have to dance alone.
3. faulty Arrival instruction: sometimes people get lost (especially on nature parties).

thanks for the good feedback guys and gals.
we had such a good time, i was dancing like crazy, took us ages to wrap things up and head home (16:00).
anyway the line up was:
uv (thats me)
parma-steelesta - live (omer2 and pit from kopsses)
zirkin
then troy from FOL amsterdam joined in and they played back to back
and pit & omer finished up on the other sound system by the lake.
we'll have some pics on the web soon.
and about the night. we like the night, the night music opens the path to acidland, unfortunately many organizers fail to understand the importance of the first set played in a party. another thing is the huge line-ups. what story can a dj tell you if he only plays an hour, we believe in long sets, a journey for the mind and body. party goers are impressed by long line-ups but if you think about it, its missing the point. when a dj has a short set he pulls out all his killer tracks and leaves all the interesting tracks in his case, in a long set a dj can experiment, and thats where all the good stuff comes from.
ok, got a little carried away with this bull writing.
c u next time |
