Donation system.

When we buy cds nowadays it's basically a donation of money that we give for the producers of the cds we love. It's not like we are buying anything, except cover art, since it is all available free and in high quality very often on the internet. But the problem with that is that so little of that money actually makes it to the producer, and sometimes we don't feel like a full-cd price is deserved and we just don't buy the disk at all and give back nothing. If each artists just posted up their new tracks and albums on their website (or on a centralized website) along with the option to donate as much as one wants, they would probably boost their revenues a little. Heck, don't even upload the tracks if that's bothering the label, just have a site with an option where one could donate easily (hassle free, no sending snail mail donations) and I would certainly use it. Whenever I heard a new mind blowing track but don't want to buy the compilation or album because of the rest of the material, I would go and donate a several dollars, and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who would be glad to do so as well. Just a thought.

True, then perhaps a certain percentage of artist donations could go to their labels. The point being, more people would actually give support for the music they like, if they could choose their level of support. The music is out there anyway, it's useless to act like it's not, it's for each and everyone to decide after listening to releases how much they like it and how much they want to give back to the artist/label. i know Carbon based lifeforms has somethin similar to this system on the website they use paypal
i nice idea by dem
they r jus accepting the fact that ppl. download but if they r curtious enough then donate to em'
