Hi,
I like downtempo psychedelic music, particularily psybient and downtempo. Artists like bluetech (which could be under his name of marc evan or bartholomew, specially bartholomew) but finally I'm not definitely transported by this kind and MY ACTUAL PROBLEM IS THAT I DON'T REACH TO FIND THE KIND THAT CAN FIT TO ME.
I can say that I over searched the net to find this but without any result.
So if somebody can lead me to what I'm searching for it would be really helpful. One I'm looking for is of course a psychedelic downtempo music, psychedelic as psybient, I don't want something like worldmusic that is for me too ordinary so not such psy, but I 'd like something with more real instruments than in psybient/ambient so not something with almost one background deep note and few melody appearing sometime and not only with electronic instruments.
I could say that what I'm looking for is made of the dark sight (light from the dark, that making difference with kind like world music where most of all is light forgetting dark side), the uncomon vision of psybient artist (like evan marc) that is really different from world music , but with strong melody not repetitive like in psybient (all songs are like 7 min loops and that eaxsperates me).
IS THAT EXISTING ?
For me, what I see is that the ambient music artists learnt a way to find more original samples (sound that seems to come from other dimensions and that's great !) and way to use them but I cant understand why are they not using them with a more traditional touch with making not only loops and with utilisation of real instruments that according my opinion enrich the modern electronic music.
I thought that what I was looking for is between psybient/ambient and worldmusic so I searched the net by trying to join search about these two kinds of music to finally what is between them and then nothing.
SO IS THERE ANYONE TO TELL ME IF THAT EXIST.
THANKS.

have you ever heard the album "Organika" by Peaking Goddess Collective? Its trippy downtempo with real instruments but not so worldy....
Also Kalpataru Tree might be a good one for you. Its downbeat dubby tech stuff but the producer also plays bass and guitar on most of the tracks. Much more mellow than the band I previously mentioned, but you might dig it.
Hope you find what you're looking for!

You could try Gus Till's latest albums
Catalpa (jazzy but emersive ambient with saxaphone)
Between the Silence (ambient but a lot of real melodic sounds used)

Thanks for all informations. Good, good sounds. Not entirely what I was looking for but cab it be possible to express the 100 percent desire features of one if any event ?
And I think electronic is as young as it is far from having opened his whole potential.
I don't think the kind I'm looking for exist.
I was trying to find an adjective that really make the difference with the other known kinds. And this adjective I think it is revolutionary, yes.
Among music that I know one that represent what I'm talking about is reggae music. It is warrior music and that's what I rarely find in ambient. But, whatever, since it is rare it is good. |

Vijaya by Bluetech ! One of a kind
Or "my dear friend Chronos", bluetech too
"And emotion", Evan Bartholomew ( I know it's bluetech too !)
And among those all of you proposed I particularily liked Gus Till. |
