Don't you think that is sad that peoples need to use drags just to understand trance music?
I mean come-on you are risking your own mind ,trying to understand music performed by machine
probably for machines, I mean whats wrong with normal music ,the kind of music that everybody likes
and you don't have to use chemichal influence to understand.
I think that people using trance music for their excuse to use xtasy and other designer drugs.
Be free of chemichals, live life naturally with all the happiness and all the pain !

all of my life i always like electronic music even before
i was doing drugs ,and you dont need to do drugs to understand
the music just when you take drugs you hear the music in a
diffrent way and you fill at the party diffrent as well
i realy dont think that this music is for machines becose
when im going to a party to listen to the music and dig
i dont see machins (if i dont take anything) i see people
take care

i just can anser this one from my point of view. but i don't do drugs (mainly extasy and shrooms) to understand the music but because it makes me feel very good and because they changed me in a very positive way. i also listen to psytrance when i'm sober, when i'm at work or whenever i feel like listen to it. i understand the music without drugs, but with drugs it's a more intense feeling and the songs show me sides in a different light so to say.
and what do you mean with "trying to understand music performed by machine probably for machines, I mean whats wrong with normal music ,the kind of music that everybody likes and you don't have to use chemichal influence to understand"? not everyone on psyparties is on drugs. some people never take any drugs and they enjoy themselves as much as the drug takers do. and if you think that psy is music for machines, means psy has no soul?! if you enjoy a certain style of music depends on your taste, but i would not say that psy has no soul. for me it definitely has one, always, no matter if i'm sober or not. and why should i like what all the others like? i can think for myself, i don't need to follow all the sheep around me. if i like some music which some people don't, hey i will still listen to it. if i feel like doing some e from time to time, hell i will do it. it's my decision what i do and i will have to pay the price for it.
and please, don't missjudge my post. i don't want people to takes drugs. but everyone should deside for him-/herself what they want in their live. be responsible and do what you think you can handle. |

ok, so you just joined the forum to tell us what u think about trance and drugs....
well, u r making the same mistake such as most of the ppl and such as the police !
trance is not connected to drugs.
PPL are connected to drugs.
PARTIES are connected to drugs.
MUSIC AT PARTIES is connected to drugs.
ANY KIND of music.
ppl using drugs is an old issue and im not going to get into that now !!!
like u smoke cigarettes and causing yourself more demmage then all of us here and all that bullshit...
or the alcohol issue....
bla bla bla....
so stop that already.
you make me sick !

People who think that no one enjoys trance without drugs or that people who take drugs don't enjoy "normal" music are wrong. It's that simple. I think Britney's music sucks, because it's just bad music, I think Radiohead are good. This is not connected to drugs, this is musical taste.
A machine doesn't make music, people do. It's like saying, well, the Beatles is music made by drums and guitars. It's not, it's by the people behind the instrumetns. The fact that the creators aren't limited to the sound of one instrument in my opinion is a big plus.
Alcohol, caffeine, nicotene, the smell of petrol at the gas stations, the little kids sniffing glue... That's socially more acceptable, BUT IT'S NOT ANY BETTER. Sarcasm, cynicism, arrogance, ignorance, these are the tools that society wants people to use in order to avoid bad things.
So before you come in here, label all of the people who hear trance as junkies and "poor souls on the fringes of society" that can't handle "natural life", think about yourself and see that maybe taking drugs is not a worse trait than BEING A CONDENSENDING PREACHER. |

but in general... psychedelic music always was, and always will b related to drugs.
and its a fact
and i think that the topic wasnt well expressed.
