Kick and bass sound good man, I see you've mixed them at basically the same volume? (looking at the waveform) I usually mix the bass atleast 1db quieter but this sounds good.

What are you using for the bass? Also the kick sounds pretty phat, is it a sample?

well i am using vb1 for bass along with a bit of eq and multiband compression. i have sidechained it with the kick.

i dont really look at the volumes just go on what sounds good. i have no hardware here to depend on. just my headphones and laptop so its very difficult to get the right levels.

and yeah kick is a sample i have just eq'd it a bit.

Sounds good, I might recommend turning down the kick-drum and bassline a bit. An amatuer mistake is to makes the drums and bass too loud, thinking that it will hit harder. Well, you want the whole track to hit harder. Try just turning down the D and B just a tad. This will make you lead a bit louder too, which is good.           New album out @ psyshop - http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/gre/gre1cd013.html

Kick and bass sounds good to me. Layer another synth on top of your lead that is similar, and you can use that to add some variation, or even break into a harder lead if you want.

Post more, I would love to hear what you do with it
