Hey,
i wonder if a scale depends on a tempo...
is that right?
or do i have to use the F scale when i produce in 145bpm??
please light me on this..
i consider this formular..wich works pretty good.. : ((145 bpm/60)x9)x2=43,5 hz wich is an F...
and it works very good for a kick..but does it even force the scale to be in F or F minor or F sharp..stuff like that..
thanks

I make all sorts of melodies in many various tempo! i heard about this formula but to be honest formulas are only just that...
It might make sense in the numbers but in real life they are very limiting to your creativity!
i say do what ever feels and sounds good! why bother too much? If this was the case all fullon 145bpm tracks would be in F, and they are not and many of them are nice...

Scale is not related to tempo at all.

I think in trance you see a lot of tracks around E,F,G is because most synths that I know of sound best around this register when using lower notes for basslines
Most of my tracks are in G
It's just simply because that's the note that sounds the best coming out of my synth to my ears, especially when using low one note basslines. |
