nops, it is exactly right... 0.7 is 1BPM on pitchers Some songs wil drift, especially finnish songs, but i have 1 damage song that drifts too, but most of the time u can get the beatmatching exactly right using this little trick

The pitch percentage for 1 BPM is a curve that corrolates with the BPM of the track... check out that topic, you'll see that It's exactly .7 for 143 BPM and gradually curves away in either direction if you're playing faster or slower.

So if you're playing 90 BPM downtempo or 190 BPM Drum and Bass it's not going to be .7

But for 142-147 BPM music it's great. However this curve is why if you're playing a 138 BPM track sped up to match a 146 BPM track, it's not quite going to be a multiple of 7. But it's a great guideline. You just can't get too lazy and stop paying attention...

Its got nothing to do with how tracks are made i think its as simple as math

143 is to 100%
like
X is to 0.7%

X= (0.7*143)/100 = 1,001 BPM

For example, if you wanted to find for 150BPM you would make

150BPM is to 100%
1BPM is to X%

X= (1*100)/150

in this case would be 0,6666(6)

Its not 0,7 but still 0,7 is the closest so yeah for full on and so the 0,7 will always be the closest...

that's strange, I turn DnB too, and although it does drift more, (which i thought was do to the nature of DnB) the 0.7 trick still works quite well, I don't have to bend excessively.
But I don't take it as a rule, sometimes it can be 0.1 or 0.2 off target indeed (texas faggott songs are 0.1-0.2 off a lot of the time)... tnx for the information, some things are much clearer now...

but most of the time ..especially with full on this one really works man ..once uve qued it at the correct place and beat matched it if its going little off track u just have to bend it slightly according to the other track ..and voila ! works like magic ..they never go off sinc..           Varun @ Materia Records
