I think neither tool is purely about self-promotion. They are both networking platforms, designed to make connections, find like-minded people and explore other points of view. And yes, most people use this platform for self-promotion.
The difference between IsraTrance and Facebook (IMHO) is the direction. IsraTrance works inward, within a highly specialized "Scene". Facebook works outward, driven by an army of teenagers, who just want to meet as many people as possible. |
