I don't have any problems with it ... be more concerned for the drivers of sound cards, midi interface, bla bla bla same old
you might have to reinstall the program after installing the OS |

I don't think that quite covers it D. Costa Dear...
if you could be a bit more specific as to which drivers and sound cards and midi interface he shuold be concerned about, (And the same old. what same old?!), instead... |

hehehehe ok sorry Jason (even though that is not his question maybe yours) it is true, people forget of the many details involved w/ it... I'll be more specific then :)
This is my studio:
Mackie SR 24-4 (mixing console) Cubase VST 5.1 r 1 (sequencer) Intel Pentium 4 1.7 GHZ (processor) 512 RAM 2 x MOTU 1224 (sound card) Midiman MIDISPORT 4x4 (usb midi interface) Synths: Nord Lead 2, Yamaha CS6x, Waldorf Micro Q, Waldorf Microwave XT, Novation NOVA (synths)
i will tell you that the only things that I needed to update for windows xp was the drivers from the sound cards and the midi interface usually provided by the manufacturer on their web site if you have for example GINA (sound card) then you go here http://www.echoaudio.com and look for the compatible driver for your windows either 95/98/2000/NT/XP its simple just search on the net for the manufacturer of the sound card/ midi interface you are using... now, there is more to that... I've heard in forums that some of the send/insert vst plugins/ Direct X plugs, vstinstruments might not work under Windows XP and that some of them only need a clean re-install to function properly that is all, now about updating the Operating Systems on synths that is an entirely different topic you don't have to worry for windows xp but it is something to ponder upon heheheeheheh ;)
