elastic_plastic i will try with fl
aciduss thats just for seting up the tempo on the sequencer, doesnt change the tempo on the wav
in cubase/nuendo works almost fine with time stretch on drum algorithm.
to edit the tempo on loops or whatever samples its perfect, but on entire track i dont know if it will sound ok on a big sound...

Sony acid can time warp. Dunno about quality though, I haven't tried it before...           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

If you open the audio pool (ctrl+p) on a PC, make sure that the check box that says Music or Musical or something like that(I can't think of it off the top of my head right now) is checked. If you check that box on all your samples and make sure that the tempo is correct for the audio samples when you do a tempo change in Cubase it will automatically timestretch all the samples for you.

As to whether this will sound okay on a big system, it's hard to say. Listen to the sounds individually and if they sound too grainy then it will probably show up on a big system. If you can hardly tell then it's probably okay.

record into virtual dj or traktor, now that is loosing the quality baba...
tryed fl also and i have also some strange feeling that something is wrong
so far time stretch is best option
will test on a party in a couple weeks
btw psylevation i was talking about 24bit file, not for the full working project...
tnx anyways baba's

automation is the best option coz u can have varying bpm on the entire track....mayb u wanna drop the track and den build up the tempo again... wid traktor or virtual dj etc etc the bpm will remain constant thru out the track....

Is everything already bounced to audio? or do you still have many midi tracks running? if so it should be possible to lower the trackbpm without changing the sound too much. Only the audio might sound weird if you want to change the tempo alot.

just drop the wave into a fresh cubase project ...
automate the changes in tempo track ...
and record the output to another channel.

am not sure if that recording channel will be affected while
playback, but it shouldn't be affected while recording.

i guess you'll need to disable tempo automation
on the final export of the recorded track.          http://www.myspace.com/realtimeproject

no one algorithm take U a satisfaction effect.
You always heard artifacts. Only one method is automation tempo in source project and change tempo/pitch of any one sample for that moment.
In cubase its very simple           http://www.beatport.com/release/cross-the-atoms/1042450

nothing against the tempo track in cubase , just another way..
