does anyone know if there are still big ravey raves in USA?

i know how to find the psytrance parties, but i'm wondering if there are still any multi-thousand person rave parties in big venues or in the desert or whatever. with hard trance, jungle, hard house, breaks, lasers, lights, candy kids, etc... anyone know how to find info on this? or are the kind of parties i remember from 10-15 years ago all dried up?

to be honest, burning man doesn't sound like a good time to me, and I know i'm in the extreme minority here. I don't really want to go camping in a scalding hot toxic dust bowl for a week and I couldn't afford to rent an RV. I've gotten a bit too domesticated over the last few years to even really want to go to 3 day outdoor festivals. I just want to pay my money for an organization to make a lineup of great djs and enjoy one night of partying with a shit load of people & hard dance music on a stellar sound system, and then go home to my shower and bed.
maybe i'm just being nostalgic.

sorry, don't really know what to say, am several continents away from NA now, out here solution to this would be clubs. but i still feel burning man is still the single greatest event that side of the world, hear it's really hard to do these days but am sure if you go there you'll find something. some things are just not easy for a reason.

haha, true. I am planning to move to california at the end of the summer (currently on east coast) so maybe I will yet wind up at burning man some day

Cali has some very good things happening. For example Goa Gil has a BD party in Oct (I think) somewhere in norcal. Just go for a night.

I used to check ravelinks.com years ago when I first started flirting with electronic music
(I actually found infected mushroom playing at the tiki lounge in pomona back in 2000 or so through that site. my first psy party. most of the events were raves like you speak of. ) |

There is still a pretty vibrant rave culture in the US. I think most major cities still have big parties. EDC Las Vegas was not long ago and had one of the most insane stage setups I have seen. The massive raves had gotten so big here in Austin a couple of years ago, that there were billboards on the highway for a few of them. |
