It's always same legato lead with Ananda Shake... just learn to use portamento / glide and you can any cheese supersaw to get that anandish sound.
Melodies are great so you might need musical skills to compose something as theirs.

thanks aciduss for useful info
i'd still like to know which synth they use (because i want to get as close as possible to their sound), but i guess any modern synth like sylenth can make such leads
and yes, musical skills is a must have for creating stuff like that

Not to be a party killer but why do you want to get as close to how they sound? Would it not be more interesting to sound like yourself?
Just a question as I find it weird someone want to copy another artist instead of be unique.

Around 2008 i met Lior from Ananda Shake at a party just after his set he came down to dancefloor, we shared some weed and i bothered him with noobzor questions... i remember he told stuff like he used cubase, nexus and albino but when i asked about the melodies he just smiled and said "pure inspiration"... hehe.
I tried a lot to get the Ananda sound after that track Wise Study of LSD that made me flip when first heard but yeah it is kind hard... i believe they layer various legato leads.
It is always good to imitate when learning BA. But i get the "unique" thing... anyway no mater how much you try you will never get the same timbre, too many variables. |
