I've had extensive experience with its bigger brother
Doepfer is the "poor man's" modular, but still sounds great. The price is not too shabby either.
I don't know if its possible to offset the CVs via MIDI as I don't see a A-191 (its necessary for in tune pitch across more than two 8ves) equivalent module stuffed in there.
And I would surely miss a saw output on the LFOs, good to see they kept the up to 5k oscillation though. You get mad FM from them LFOs. Shite there is no S&H...but then again they had to keep the cost down.
Obviously pisses over any VA and soft synth in terms of analog sounds, after all..it is analog
Peace out.

Yea of course there are some drawbacks compared to the big brother modular. As far as I understood you could control CV through the usb connection, but I may be mistaken. While I own a few hardware synths I'm still a bit fresh in the analog realm, so there are a few things to learn!
But yea, the FM on those lfo's just sound out of this world! And that lovely squishy wet filter
I think, however, that I've got to admit to myself that the sensible thing to do would be to buy a new soundcard so all my sounds (I mostly use my hardware) aren't defiled by my crappy old m-audio 192
On that note, if anyone feels burdened by an excessive amount of cash, I'll happily take it off your hands! www.soundcloud.com/vonoom | www.vonoom.bandcamp.com | www.facebook.com/vonoom | www.flikflakfamily.com |
