hey all

just curious, how many of you use send fx, and what fx do you use as a send. Or do you just load your fx straight into the input?

also curious what combinations of fx youve had success with?

Reverb and delay as send. sometimes compression and distortion that way as well.

Yep, with anything that isn't specific to an individual track..I guess that's the whole point.

Reverb sends are definitely one of the best things you can do for imaging..I usually use at least 4 per track with different settings to give the mix some depth.           You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me?

Yeah, I use a few, theyre good for cpu.. Though I use fx on input, depends what u wanna do.. If u want unique space than u use input, if u want same room for many channels than aux send, just be sure its all wet..           http://www.facebook.com/xrayzproductions

me too. all the time, delay, reverb, chorus, weird filtering for leads on fx channel etc , its the only way to go.
Just whatever you think it would sound good try it with fx channels and experiment with the insert chains , usually theres the fx and then eq or compressor for cleaning or squashing the signal but experimenting makes you understand the effects on the sound better

Automated sendeffects = win!

In downbeat music i prefer using reverbs and delays with autopan.

But in dance music a reverb with sidechain on.

when working on FL rarely... FL always had an 'impact' knob on each mixer for each effect you load. i mean apart the dry/wet the effect may have by itself.. automating/adjusting that can lead to amazing results.

when on c4/acid yes. i use send fx always.

Play around with FX, both send and insert. Once you have done this enough, you will not need to ask the question anymore.           http://www.myspace.com/nickbugayev

hey guys thanks for the replies, like most of you here im also using delays and reverbs as sends, i wanted to see if anyone were using distyortion phasers flnagers etc on sends. one question mates regarding youre reply elad and rosengran. you both state you are using side-chain or gate on ya reverb. how do i go upon setting this up. i want to give it a try id assume itd be good for percussion.

i also want to ask, what are some cool insert chains youve had success with? and would you put insert fx before eq compressor etc or after?
