1. to make my hats and percations at the same note as the bassline? if i use hats and perc's from vst's it's no problem but if i use samples it a bit more problem. do you think that my track gonna flow better if i do it?
2. do you think it is necessary to automate everything? what would you not automate? if i use arpg that all the time at the background and it's quiet cool without any automation on it?
3.do you have any recomandation for a mild automation? something that won't realy change the flow of the sound? something like changing oscilators but on audio |

1. Yes, percussion follows groove... you can make any element follow bassline.
2. No, automate just what you want to auomate, think of the effect you want to create if you want steady sounds do not automate.
3. Mild automate osc or morph settings in a nice synth so you actually change the timber through several bars.
hope that hlps |

1. Sometimes is not necessary that all hats and percs are on the exact note of the bass. They just need to sound good together.
Remember you can always fine-tune them on a sampler! by ear.
Open and analize comercial and free percussion loops. There's a lot of possibilities for patterns.
Sometimes, a groovy pattern with carefull chosen samples helps the track... a lot.
2/3. Some of my automation is done the track is almost finished!
I listen, listen.. then I end up to find that some elements need variation.
It depends of the producer, of what you like.
You can add automation to hats!
You may create some layers with different patterns and automate just some of them.
Add a smooth filter open/closing , a slight pan variation...
This is way better than a straight plain repetitive percussion!

1)no its not necessary to make the percussion on the same notes as the basschord... always go by the ear.... as in wat sounds good...
2)no automation is required if you dont feel the necessity!!!
3)add all your drum sounds/samples in 1 mixer channel, load the 'Fruity Loops Fast LP' effect on it, then right click the 'cut-off' wheel and click 'Create Automation Clip'. in this way you can control the loudness of your drums by changing the automation line in your Playlist. To make it sound better, do the same to the Resonance wheel, but always keep it opposite of the cutoff position.
hope it helps!!!
