Practically everything I listen to is old. I was and shall remain a late bloomer when it comes to music. However it remains timeless to me. Age is but a number.

You are right in many ways acidhive that the sound progressed bigtime and the production quality is much more amazing. My point is that todays sound is not as psychedelic as many tracks at the time. I like some of the music of today and in fact i say that the chillout has quite a trance expression than the dancefloor of today. It has really much more hearth and soul and the sounds take you to heaven. I am not in any way saying that there is no improvement in todays music all i am saying is that i do not like the sounds they use which in my opinion is also overused so becomes like plastic to my ears.

And also i am not forcing anything on you man i am was just saying my opinion which is purely honesty no hard feelings man.

Thanks. I agree on the chilly side of things though. You see, that's where a lot of feeling goes into the music. Chill is more for emotions, the other psy is more for dancing.

When it comes to trance, I usually always play old stuff, because I lost interest in most of the new stuff. Stuff like Cosmosis , old Logic Bomb, Noosphere etc...
I love the way that music can stay great in your heart forever..            - - It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice... - -

With a better formulation, this is a VERY beautiful quote.

compare an old classic track with a full on of nowdays...I see much more psychedelicious itrance music from 90s then 00s ...dont never forget the trance roots.
goa sound was more deep ,more space with gallaxies of melodies, more complicated with a lot of strange harmonius changes between loops and patterns.
and full on is full of echoes, simple changes between loops and patterns, more commercial mainstream melodies.

Yes I listen to old Stuff from psychic deli, phantasm, Koyote, peyote, tip, transient, Matsuri and even some Eye Q and Harthouse. But usually I get so many new goodies I barely have time to listen to the old regularly. I have been itching to listen to the Ree K track on Matsurirhythm comp... unreal track

I think the main difference i find is the true melodic leads and more intricate arragements, but it just sounds so old he he I like to stay in the here and now
