i just wondered about psy parties vs more mainstream club trance i.e. pornotrance.
everywhere i've been the psy parties have less of a sex vibe and more of a "spiritual vibe" if you will permit the expression. if I wanted to get laid- just to meet a girl and hook up, i'd go to a mainstream house, club trance, or pornotrance party as you put it...
so i don't know. you are right man. i've never ever been to greece.

When psytrance parties started in Greece were small and underground and they had this "spiritual vibe" ,but after few years psytrance parties in Greece became more commercial and this" spiritual feeling" was lost and became a "drug" and "agressive spirit" with all these ugly and burned young kids from the "old good spiritual acid"and later by the" xtc".....So the ene rgy turned into a confusing drug sexual paranoia
for these young ravers.
And after this more old goers who got sick of these mainstream psy parties and their ugly energy turned more to the small progressive underground scene,where boys and girls could dance together have fun by sharing smiles and shaking their asses to the grooves of the psy progressive or pornotrance ,instead of shaking
their acidburned brains,,,,,and their fucked up libido in the toilets,,,,,

i guess i dont understand- your underground scene is progressive and your commercial scene is psychedelic????
i've never heard of anything like this in my life...this does not exist in any other country on earth if so...i swear...
and why such a strong negative reaction to lsd and young people?
is there some mutation i don't know about which turns them ugly?
xtc is too much everywhere anyway i think... but more in commercial than underground...
and its not evil or anything- i do it sometimes myself but only with few people or with a sweetie or something;) |

Depends in your mood ocelot. Psy parties are for blasting entertainment here...i can't see anything spiritual.
Progressive and psy groove are more "cozy" and the ppl are more in to playing and laughing.
One way or another you pay entrance fee . So what are your underground criteria?

The negative reaction about acid and young people is that this combination ends 90%of a
bad trip for the young ravers cause they can not haddle such a strong psychoactive substance as acid ,,,,and the result you can see it clearly on their freaked out faces in the parties,,,, |

i guess what makes party underground for me is if its not inside alcohol bar club type place... maybe i can smoke freely or something? open air is of course the best but not possible all year most places. underground is the scene. the crowd. if the people know many of each other and hang out outside the club for daily community.
i admit this is somewhat subjective, but perhaps the feeling of a party? if it feels like its meaningful and part of the life of a community of people versus a bunch of strangers coming together either to get high, get a blowjob (joke) or see an artist/dj like they are a rockstar...
i look for this. i hope to find this feeling wherever i am in the world. so can someone just give me some random demographics?
like if Kindzadza comes to play- how many people of what age group in what kind of venue with what other music etc?
if Astrix comes to play- how many people of what age group in what kind of venue...?
if Son Kite comes to play?
if Xenomorph?
if Simon Posford?
