Hi all!
Seb (aka Son kite) played at Universo Paralelo Festival in Brazil a marvelous remix of Put it On from Bob Marley. So, do you guys have any idea whose song is this?

...because if it was i know at least one remix made by groove corporation wich is amazing, with loads of reggae vibes with downbeat sounds,)

yeah, it was in the chill out, very nice dubby stuff he played..
I was there enjoying it too =)
btw, it for sure was not sun is shining.. and I also dont think it was ´put it on´... I gotta remember what it was, but I think it was some other song by bob... |

"Put In On" - remix by Groove Corporation is avaiable on their Remixes from the Elephant House CD (Guidance records)
Its a top tune - i play it quite a bit to bridge the gap between funky and chilled when taking things up/down... ( I tend to play either funky stuff or chilled stuff - but often a combination!)
The Cd has some really good remixes on - including a surprisingly good remix of the UB40 (!) version of Legalise it. |

Thanks for all the replies guys. From what I read it might be the one from Groove Corporation because the song has a funky touch.
But I 'll definily check the Bill Laswell CD.Love his work.
BTW The song was played at the Chill Out and I'm sure that it was a remix of "Put it On" because the sample was: "feel the spirit, feel the spirit...Lord I thank you...feel all right...good lord hear me...I'm gonna put it on (anytime, anywhere)...I'm gonna put it on again" and so on.
Anyway the whole set of Seb was great. I just have to add that him and his partner rocked the festival at the main floor (with SOn Kite and Miniloge) and also at the Chill Out (with Ooze). Keep up with the work guys. Please come back to Brazil more often.... |
