I don't believe in god, thus I have a belief, because I believe god doesn't exist. There is no such thing as "lack of belief" in my book And besides, atheists usually believe in other things like science or magic. I've never met anyone who doesn't believe in anything, even tho that would be quiet interesting since you would have to denounce your own existence and... well everything.
But I guess I would have to go with B hehe.
Personally I believe in nature itself as a higher, unconscious power and there are so many signs out there to prove it.. like the perpetual circulations of nature which all living things are bound to follow. Circulations within which we construct our own to improve our own existence. It makes sense that all of these circulations should be part of an even bigger circle of life.

Once you do that, you open the door for others to do so to you. Once you do it for a group of people, then don't be surprised when others fling the little bits of dirt about your people in your face.

They're just practicing their freedom?
Or how about the pope telling Africans that condoms cause AIDS?

I'm with Kaz there. I despise secular fanatism as much as I hate religious fanatism.
I believe in live and let live.
Religion whatever you, the enlightened ones, think of it have been an enormous influence for good and for bad (Ok, mostly for bad) but it exists and if you strive for world peace (like the good hippies you are) you have to live with it, rather than try to exterminate it.
Ok so God doesn't exist but please don't ruin your neighbour's dinner, he had a bad day and just wants to rest.

Hitler took Nietzsche and said he was the moral lighthouse for his ideology. Is Nietzsche at fault for the Nazis' actions?
Showing the abuses of a set of beliefs is very easy. Is it that much harder to accept that most people holding that belief are better than the worst case? http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222 |

I'm a beginner yogi I strive with the best of my efforts to reach unity with spirit.
I try to follow the path that my guru said is the easiest.
If you are able to love each living being unconditionally you'll know God.

well I find it hard enough trying to know myself let alone some god
Not taking the piss, and each to their own, but I long become aware in myself that my life is about my own journey, and sharing it with my soul mate.
Am quite happy in the knowledge that anything important about the "next life" will happen in the "next life".

I actually have alway doubted that this so called "divine" god would be so lame-o that it needs to make an entire universe to fight and worship over it's just for his ego
Maybe this world or galaxy or universe or whatever was created in it's spare time as a hobby, like a fish bowl, and it has forgotten about creating us and now we are left to our own devices and in another trillion years it will remember creating this and look back and go, thank goodness I never got involvled in that mess!

haha, i can agree with that for sure. especially the first part, there's no way an all powerful divine god would allow us to murder his creations for not believing in him. the story is flawed.
Projection makes perception. The world is what you gave it, nothing more than that. It is a witness to your state of mind, the outside picture of an inward condition. As a man thinketh, so does he perceive- Anonymous
