I think that if someone chooses trance as their medium for worship whether it be hinduism, catholosism, judaism, islam, sikhism or any other system of belief, then that's up to them.

Last I checked the right to religion is a basic human right.

Plus I can't say I've heard any satanist trance. Just a few trippy producers who want to freak people out a bit.

And some people like that.

Off topic:

if you want satainc I'd say Norways

is much more relevant seeing as they have actually delved in Satanism and went pretty far as to murdering past members etc.

On topic:

I enjoy it, maybe coz of my metal background, but it adds some nice twists to the cheesey hippy full on vibes hehe.

Some of the suomi stuff can be pretty dark mood wise, and both "dark" psy and suomi can creat a good flow from midnight to sunrise

if you don;t like it go off the dance flooror don;t buy the cd

Easy eh!

Ok. That band just sucks balls. The vocalist cant growl for shit. The riffs sound very bland. And the lead, dont wanna mention about it. And tht animal head is nothing but fake and even his actions r nothing but fckin fake! Norway has got much more mindblowing bands than this one. Most metal bands just do this Satanist thingy as a public gimmick! Im sure f half of them were to experience a spirit, they''d prolly piss in their pants! Wat a waste!

Rightp. Well before you judge them I suggest you go read the book "Lords of Chaos", an acclaimed factual book based on the Norwegian black-metal scene .

Even if you don't like the music it's a fascinating insight into music and satanism/paganism.

I believe that no serious musicians make dark stuff for many reasons.
If you know basics music harmony lessons (or u have a skilled ear)and you hear the way they play pads for example..then you understand what i mean.
Low quality noise.
There are many elements available these days to make music, happy or dark, but if its played by not skilled musicians its like a 3 year old kid that smashes the kitchen.

Thats the real terror

I must say i was suprised to come back to the trance scene after a few years of abscence and see what has happend. I remember when full-on was taking over the festivals and parties and people were screaming how bad it was (including me). Well, its far more musical than this so called "dark trance".

I do believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that is absolutly fine but i think that these so called "composers" are decomposing the otherwise quite beautiful trance scene and everything it stands for.

But as said before, my butt tastes diffrent than yours.

I don't actually agree that satanism is a good thing in this scene, but I do think alot of the higher quality "dark" or "night" trance has a lot more in common with the "goa/psy" sounds coming out in the mid to late 90's than any full on since around 2005.

There is still plenty of "happy" full on being put out as well as progressive n' suomi style.

Music should never be restrained from experimenting, and in saying this I think comments like "decomposing" or Index's rant just show that you are not willing to accept another person's perception of what music can be.

Hey I'll openly admit that I'm no fan of Full On and I like very little in the new progressive/minimal styles, but I still have fun with these styles at a gig. I see the talent in these styles, but I would personally not buy these styles or listen to them at home. It's simply choice.

I seriously see so much opportunity for all these styles (dark/night, full, proggi, suomi etc.) to start combing to form new and amazing sounds and I am always just wondering why don't more artists from the different sub genres have a go at collaborating?

It happened so much more often in the early days of this music.

Anway end my rant.           I hate you, you hate me, we are all so hap hap happy!

I dont know about you but ive been enough around genres coming and going, ive seen these discussions before (in a non "i know it all" tone)

And honestly these type of discussion always end up in the conlusion:

Taste differs.

And thank god for that :P

But i do enourage producers to be bold and challenge themselfs and their audiences, but being bold and, well in a delicate way of putting it, somewhat tonedeaf, is a big diffrence. IMHO

Interesting documentary which might give you a thought or two about Brutal/Black/Death-Metal and it's mentality on the real side (show-provoke) and the flip side (Evil screwed up fuckers).

Just a short explanation: Øystein a RIP key member of Mayhem was killed by Greven, a Satanic lunatic in Nazi motion. This film includes stories about sick stuff in the underground of Metal.

The shocking stuff unveils as you watch: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Once+upon+a+time+in+Norway+-+pt+1&search_type=

Dark doesn't automatically equal Evil or Negative.

Devil worshiping as in you are crazy and hooked on black magic should stay with goth-electronic and masturbate to their misery view of life! Wankers
