lately i have seen a lot of psy artists not handling very well with critics, both them and their producers friends and fans..why is that?

i mean, critics, are good for improvement, and i see a lot of new artists (but not only) not handling this very well, when they could read and learn more with critics..

if it isnīt praising them then it is not good critic..?!

Producers with an artistic spirit take critics well IMO.

But yes, i agree with what you mentioned!           We were born naked & grow up to become wicked.

I could only watch 37 seconds and I had come to the conclusion that she was very stupid and so very UN-cool.

I think the truth is that the most artists can not really handle with criticism.Since most of them have a huge ego.Maybe even the most creative spirits have the same, and maybe even it is a bit important to stay strong with a musical idea.In most cases it is hard ,although critics can help more than false compliments. But sometimes critics are unappropriate of course.

if we browse the cd reviews section in isratrance, there are several examples, and i will not point any, not make specific but i see the trend is not to accept the critic and above all try to describelisate the author - of course not all is black and white, there are some grey stuff, but the major rule is to not handle and accept.

and the fans, do not take the critic about their artist aswell, stating acusations right on time..i mean comon, i like artists and have some favourite, but not all of them make music i like 100%..is it so hard to receive critics?of course you canīt please everybody and sometimes you will get cxritics because people donīt like you, but a good critic about your work (being good or bad), wonīt help you?

offtopic: i have critics about my moderation sometimes, and i heard them, speak about them and try to improve.

isnīt critics to help you improve?           ...

probably the biggest reason of them all..is the fans fault why this phenomenon happens?

Constructive criticism taken wrongly would probably (in most cases) be the artists incapability of taking a little beating. Most of what I see here are 'you suck' and crap like that. None of which anyone would not be tempted to respond to.

Not all criticism is good criticism...

I see no reason to get upset over it or anything, I just ignore that stuff. Any good stuff should be taken as a way to improve. All art is subjective anyway so it's not like one person is more right than the other.           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

I'm still waiting for that perfect review where in the end the author asks you to stop making music and start selling hot dogs instead. (Probably aje)

What about the artists who only writes music for themselves? They might not be interested in criticism.
