Do artists listen to their creations?

Well , i've been wondering , Do they?
Personally, certain friend of mine , member of heavy metal band ( as guitarist ) do like listening to his productions (sometimes at home , sometimes in the vehicle) , and his band in general. I think there is no such an happiness like listening to your own product , some work (of music , art ) that urself has created.
On the other hand , other two certain producers ( one as a trance-producer and the other as a soloist and composer in rock band) just can't listen , as their saying , apart from playing it 
Well , the question relates to situations when the product is completed , when you drive in the car , when you are at friend's place etc , and not playing it and sharing with your friends the moment your new product is completed |

personally i do, after i complete my work, it's so big pleasure to listen to it. but i think this period is few days after i complete, after that i do less. and if you talking about car, friend's palce it's cool too, you can see their emotions, if they like it more or less.

During composing, mixing and mastering an artist listens to his work handreds of times.
especialy while mixing and mastering it's important to listen to the tracks on as many sound systems u know and can, in order to get the best mix/masters result.
after going through that, when the whole thing is complited it may happand, but not so often.
as for me, i prefer to play them live at gigs - it always will come out differant from the original so it's not like listening them the same old thing again and again..

It means that this kind of situation is NOT when u wanna let ur friends listen attentively after u just completed your new product. this kind of situation is completely clear & obvious.
I asked about listening in the same way as u listen (maybe at that moment  ) to your popular and beloved album/track , by yourself , with friends etc etc . |
