Dntel, a.k.a Jimmy Tamborello, is an electronic break through, imho.
Both melancholic and groovy, his music captured my ears, my mind and my heart.
Who said electronic music doesn't involve any feelings?
For example, dntel's "Umbrella", from the great album "Life is Full of Possibilities",
made me shed a tear when I was in a very bad state of emotion.

His album "Early Works For Me If It Works For You" contains several electronic works of his, ones like "Loneliness is Having No One to Miss".
With a brilliant name like that, how bad can it be?
Well, it can't!

All in all, I'm very fascinated with Tamborello's music.

Cheers.

Sounds interesting.
Is there any link to his site or label?
I like melancholic Electronic music.

np: U.N.K.L.E ft. Richard Ashcroft - Lonely Soul           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

Unfortunately, he doesn't have his own website.
Or at least I haven't found it yet, and believe me, I've been looking for it.
His music *is* very interesting.
Ans I'm also very fond of melancholic Electronic music.
Ever heard of Arovane? All India Radio? Ulver?
Haujobb has a very melancholic song, called "Overflow". But his music, generally speaking, is quite fast and "cheerful".

np: Telefon Tel Aviv - My Week Beats Your Year.

Dntel is great but be warned,
his music can bring some serious depression!

he releases on PLUG RESEARCH (www.plugresearch.com) which is quite fantastic with many diverese styles.

check out Safety Scissors(very strange sounds and beats with some truly nerd-ish yet interesting vocals),Low-Res(the jazzist of the label) and Jhon Tejada(a great techno artist who releases his break-ish side on this label).

Yeah, Yoni, I agree. I mentioned his music was melacholic.
"Umbrella", for example, is very depressing on certain times.

Anyway, thanks for the recommendations .

I have Life is Full of Possibilities and really really like it. Very deep dive.           ---------------------------------------------
