Beat Agency need to understand the these massive festivals are not the place for real "trance" state. You might as well go to a rock concert.
It always has been and always will be the smaller under ground party where the magic happens.
And if people feel like clapping, whistling or shouting with joy that's fine with me if it makes them happy.

I already stated what you say I do not understand But you can not hide the fact that the "Face" of the trance scene is promoted via huge commercial "rock alike" Festivals and not small local parties.

So why do you care what happen at the massive? Just like you don't care what happen at rock concert.
If the huge commercial massive is the "face" then the "backside" is where it is at so get there.

Why is it wrong to debate in your opinion? I do not have to be part of Big festivals in order to debate them.

But if you don't care then whats the point?
Unless you recently went to some big festivals and could not reach your "trance" state due to all the breaks and clapping etc. Now you know not to go to those festivals expecting to reach "trance" state - go to the smaller underground parties.
Back in the day there were no massives. The scene has just grown to many different things - some you like some you don't but at least you have a choice.

I personally have my "idiot" moments jumping around and asking "who is on".

Without any break between performers I can't understand who is performing and who isn't,and fuck it man, lets face the truth:There are better producers and performers than others, and there are our personal preferences, the people we came to hear at the party .

I most certainly do not come to hear everybody for the entire 14 hours. Also,"Interupting the trance state",well I don't know people we enter trance state be it on some massive amount of drops, for the entire duration of party. No one will die if there is a pause between sets,as long as there is consistency in the set itself.

Fuck,no one I know can stay in the danceflour for entire period of 2 hours without taking a break.I have my trance state if the performer is good in his own set (which I haven't had in a long time, the last time I had it it was when Protonica were here in Israel).Really,I think someone in here have "doctor sindrome " ,he was playing for so long he is like the doctor who says to his patient "oh shoosh,I know what you got better than you".

But fuck it,whatever.People go with what others dictate them, just to be clear,no one goes in a trance for the entire set,and nothing disasterous will happen if the track stops by itself.A minute of silence not to hear the pounding bass, and chilling with hommies in the dancefloor telling jokes, for me is a giant relief sometimes.

Edit:Oh shit, this is an old topic, ain't it??oh lol I just necroed some thread.

jekvan, i disagree with you here... up until the last year where the last parties had just a set or two i really enjoyed, i used to be in the dancefloor for hours... hell in boom 2010 we brought our gazebo to the main stage so we wouldnt have to walk away from the dancefloor

the good sets i've heard could put me in a trance state where all i could feel were the sounds i heard and the emotions they've evoked - which just fit perfectly with the vibe of the people... truly amazing moments maybe it sounds dreamy and hippy and flowery and all that, but it has truly happened to me this way and this is what makes trance so powerful for me

Does anyone like it this way besides the DJs themselves?

I think having a break in the music between DJs only serves to call attention to the DJ and as such I don't like it. The transition from one DJ to the next should be so smooth you don't notice it happening.

If you notice every DJ switch, it forces you to be aware of time.

Hi Sripapitu,

if you dont like atention and dont notice something is hapening please go to graveyard.

Tanks a lot.
