Djing with 1 deck..

Okey you get to the gig, the organizer fucked things up and you have only 1 deck.. Asking him for another deck won't help you out here.
Would you consider playing your set with 1 deck and 8 beat samples? Or how would you save the situation? 
Speaking for myself i wouldn't even bother, not my problem. |

well it depends if the organizer was my friend and it was a free party only for friends, i would try the best for people to have a good time under those circunstances.
on the other hand if it was a payed party/"official", then i wouldn´t think it would happen..i belive they would have the situation covered up..if they didn´t had covered, than well..not my problem aswell
but since i only djing with pc+dj console i think it would not happen to me..at least not to my poor mixing skills

actually it is possible, but i doubt its a hit.
When playing with a dvs you can be overkill and run up to 4 decks with 1 turntable if you feel comfortable with it |

I would play something like the Hallucinogen - Twisted album , but probably would not be at the desks since there's not much for me to do there. In fact I did exactly that one time, when the DJ before me did not arrived. It worked and afterward I went there and played my set.
Depends mostly on the vibe of the party.
I understand that sometimes there will be a pressure from the organizers and the crowd to have someone up there, but I don't think I would be conformable in playing a pre-recorded set, even if the crowd is asking for someone up there tweaking some knobs.
