At that time, perhaps by coincidence, most of the people I traded with also purchased a lot of CDs. Having these unreleased tracks did not stop any of us from purchasing the tracks once they were released, in better quality. Desiring unreleased music only shows that the person is really crazy about those particular artists, not all traders are thieves.

That's not so true now.
Once an unreleased track gets released today, it loses all value and no one wants it anymore. It's "old" even if the release day is tomorrow.

There is a point there - music that has been leaked to mp3 in a major way can sometimes be stopped when you try to commercially release it - if not by the labels, then the distributors (don't I know it). The difference between then and now is means of distribution: postal mail trading is a completely different thing from what you find on the internet with broadband. And even the industry is different - far more fast-paced now. Albums get old in 2 months or less (of course old school fans might point out that making music to last will help sales!)...

how can junya blame stimulus for anything?
man have you actually gone to slsk and did a search on eskimo?
in case you didn't know their is a lost promo cd of eskimo which you apparently have lost it in portugal, all unrl tracks. now sollow that cry, and move on for f**ksache
want to stop unreleased tracks on the net?
simple, get your tracks to make weird noises high freq ones and throw them out in the net before being released. let them share the corrupt file. they will end up giving up.
man all of this search for the unrleased stuff it's all because of kid's dreaming that one day they would become a dj, and for them to be a dj they need unrealesed track's and equipment (if only it was that). I bet you, if their were no dj's their would not be this rush for unreleased tracks. |

I understand junya´s point about his tracks...But i also guess he should take more care about his music.Giving it only to right ppl,or not giving it at all.
Dj stimulus is a very nice guy,as far as i know him..And i think it is a little unfair ,try to crucify hom here on the net, because of one misunderstood.
Peopl should calm donw( in my opinion),and try to get things clear, but impartially.
Take care u all

Crucify someone and their reputation when you don't even have all of the facts....? In this case, just wrong, completely selfish and 100% egotistical.....I couldn't agree more.
assumption is the mother of all fuckups. |

In my opinion i think we have a big fault of professionalim in the trance scene.
All days we listen new labels and new party organizers , way? Just for the money nothing ells. We need to give credit to the people personaly not on line in your home . It´s very easy delud the people on line ,have a lot serious people but have more liers then good ones. the chats and the foruns[internet]it´s a dangerous world and you know it . protect you and work seriuously. Its my modest opinion. Good luck for all people
See you in the boom festival |

what pisses me off the most in our scene? is it the mp3 thingy? is it the low sales? drugs? trance kids?
it is selfish behaviour of artists/organizers/promoters/label owners/etc in god mode
just gimme more of the same. its just a test! |

To read this is very, very sad. In my opinion, if a track is good and is unreleased, and then gets released, i will still want the track and will buy the cd.
I think the problem just comes down to the basic faults within the human race...greed, envy and egotism.
Very amusing thread! |

oh my god.
sorry Mike A, but imo this attitude is exactly what destroys the underground scene and generates commercial values and ego.
no offense, what i understand in your post is that only what´s new is interesting
- the stereotype commercial-dj-ego crap:
"i´m so cool because i always HAVE the latest PRODUCTS"...
this is exactly the ideology the culture industry intended (and achieved... ) to indoctrinate the youth with.
this is pure capitalist mentality |

I think this post should ev been called - my family and friends are no good, or not as good as i expected them, cause i don’t think Stimulus owes you to keep your tracks, when some people gave them to him, unless he promised you directly on a friendship level that he will never give ur music to anyone if he comes across such.... Now that u publicly trying to bring down his name for your own and your friends or/and family mistakes, this is wrong!
