Zombi - That's just wrong. What does it matter if you have an insert or not? You shouldn't need to prove you can beat match by not carrying a sleeve insert with you. Just because you do, doesn't mean you take shortcuts. You're performance will speak for itself. You shouldn't really pay attention to the printed BPM's anyway. Some of them are wrong and are only there to give people an idea.

People can and should appreciate having a track list they take with them in their cases. I think this is something special the labels do for their customers. It also helps the young dj's who are learning to mix. It gives them an idea of where they should start, etc. Good job to the labels who take that extra step.

Yeah its great! All albums should come with it imo!

Another really cool thing I really enjoyed in the TPP album (good mood records, the portuguese artists compilation) was that last beat information, it says when is the last kick of the track, wich helps sometimes when mixing

And I think all albums should come with bpm info also

Hi people!

This is an interesting topic .

I was just wondering whether people would like it if labels provided people with print-ready graphic files (full-resolution, full-color) on their webpages?
Idea is that people could download a ready-to-print file print the CD case inserts and add them to their CD cases. Would this bring any added value, what do you think?

Cheers,

Timecode does that nicely, the CD cover art has become a mini lil card which looks laminated. Behind the card is the tracklisting and bpm for its track, how great is that!? Dont have to worry on spilling some beer on your cds now, in case the card gets wet, there is another two cards which came with the cd hehehe. Excellent timecode records!

I think other labels should start doing that. Reward us with something lil for buying your records and you can be sure we will keep on buying stuffs from you It doesnt have to be big stuffs, just simple stuffs from stickers to those cards i just mentioned.

P/S: the cards are from VA - Firewall from Timecode, i am not sure if they did that for ther other releases.

I think its a great idea tu supply the insert slip.. I have so many CD's that in the long run, i can't keep a recollection of every single track on every CD, and when i record a mix, i often find myself using saikosounds to write my tracklists (i could just go get my CD cases, but they are stored in my closet..and there's almost 200 different one's)..

JESTER records will supply a CD insert with there Upcomming release for sure.. Maybe not with the BPM count, but at least with the track names..
