Special Note: I did this set in the middle of the Black Rock desert, so I had a very limited number of CDs to use.
This set was specially designed to bring on and enhance psychedelic states and
experiences. It was recorded right after the Shamaic Winds chillout set, and follows the ethno/tribal/organic psychedelic theme.
I was really going for that old school, outdoor festival sound, and I think I got it.

It sounded great at high volume but for some reason the track changes came out real soft on the recording. A lot of the times it was when I was going from a CD to a virtual track.
I'm working on my DJing skills again, I have been badly out of practice recently.

Maybe it was because of the quality difference between the two or output gain of one channel could also be the culprit

Part 2 of this session will be posted sometime tomorrow. I mixed it with a totally virtual setup, and it was the CDJ gains for sure that caused problems on Part 1.
It is also a Burning Man set which followed directly after this one. It was spun a whole lot smoother and with a lot cleaner track merges and fades. It is also a bit faster and way more stompy at the end.
Part 3 which is the night full-on rager and mind burner will be posted next week.
