does the free distribution of the dj sets harm record labels? i for sure have stopped downloading tracks and stopped buying music ...in fact theres so much music out there that i dont even bother with artist names or track names i just d/l dj sets and thats all i need

free distribution is done mainly for promotion , if it were harming record labels , dj's wouldnt be putting them out. doesnt do any harm, only good .
ive been downloading mainly sets only .. and i pick my music i want to get through these free sets. makes the selection process much easier.

yeh i started out that way but now i dont even bother with names...as long as the flow is there i am in on it...end of the day its lot less effort for me...i am sure quite few like me cropping up

Perhaps to find music to BUY Dennis. Either way, it's not my case. But I do agree with you.
I'm always downloading DJ sets. Only DJ sets, for a while.
If there's no tracklist, whatever. But I like when there is one. Keeps things more organized. And also, to know what you are hearing.
Without having to ask all the djs you get a set from:
"What track is playing at this time?"
You're exchanging 12, for a dozen. Cause they always tell you what track is it.
