The new wave of techno producers who come from psy backgrounds (riktam and bansi, gabe, miki latvik, ido ophir et al) are all absolutely killer. i've been listening to loads of techno and minimal lately and my favourite stuff is all made by these guys..

i think, coming from the psytrance background, these guys make a more high energy form of techno, with the slamming bass and buildups of fullon ported into the techno world. 99% of techno and minimal i find too boring, but the style of these artists is great..

for eg:

astronivo making some good tunes as well, as is boris blenn (side project of electric universe), but that is more melodic

Freedom of speech also apply to this forum like it or not. I don't care if you don't care what I think. My opinion regarding psytrance artists adding full-on with Techno had nothing to do with you so don't take things personal next time someone have an opinion you don't share.
I acknowledge your right to think Banjo music is amazing. That does not give you the right to tell me I don't have the right to think otherwise.           www.beatagency.dk

something that i was seeing since last year (2009) at least in mexico is that progressive psytrance, minimal techno and some tendences between these, are gaining area on outdoor raves.
Parallel the Israeli full on, have being displaced from the scene, to leave place German artists or with a trend techno.

Is this an alone report of a mode or could be some ideological fight among these styles, and party producers of Aryan origin in opposition to the Jewish creations?

imo it begins from the motivation someone has when making music, why he's making it and who for. if we hear more and more techno, electro or club music influences in festivals, is probably because most artists want to live also through their art so, they tend to fit their style within boundaries. those boundaries maybe set by the way we live, eg. psytrance is a music to enjoy mostly open air, and not that much in a club, so there are quite few artists devoted to "psytrance" and lots of people who wanna have fun every saturday, so why djs not to techno a bit more? the people want it..

fingers crossed this becomes the new "trend" and takes over the israeli cheese-fest in open air parties.
speaking of which, I recently released a "techno" tune on Dave Seaman's Audio Therapy label, called "friends with benefits" under my real name, "Nectarios".

Not a noobie at all. He's been in the scene even before Bob Dylan dropped Acid with Elvis in Goa. Which gives him that extra edge on all us noobsters          Everyone in the world is doing something without me

its their natural development as human beings..
