Thomas/Psynina has taken the formerly prestigious Plusquam name and thoroughly run it into the ground...

Plusquam never released Psytrance. Its a common misunderstanding here on this board that progressive trance equals Psytrance.
If Plusquam like to release David Guetta then go for it. All these narrow elitist views on what labels and artists should do only do one thing. It kills creativity and an open mind to other music than Psytrance.

Progressive psytrance if you may. As you already know, Plusquam was a progressive (psy)trance offspring of Spirit Zone, so I think it's pretty fair to say it was a very psytrance-related label.
... and it still is, looking at the recent releases.

Yes but just because you share a scene does not automatic makes the music pystrance as a few people tend to think looking at their comments.
I am sure you got my point

The Plusquam of today is not the Plusquam of yesterday. Back then it developed a strong reputation as one of the highest quality labels in the scene. After Spirit Zone went under it was sold to DJ Chemicus of Psytropic Records and turned into a wastebasket label. The commitment to quality transformed into a commitment to quantity. That's the problem. It isn't a matter of musical direction (although this is symptomatic of the deeper issue) but quality control and their overall approach to business: release as much music as possible with the least amount of time and energy investment.
