@minus - some nice sounds in there bro ..and good ideas (im talking about the first track )..
but the sounds are a lil too crowded and i feel they r fighting for space which may not be good..also some of the sounds and effects are not exactly clear and feels distorted (i mean the quality of sounds)
maybe u shud try taking out a few sounds (have a lil more minimalistic approach )i think it will be a lot better
..also u can maybe try a lot more atmospheres which will give the track a more serious feel and to bring it more alive..
again dont bring in atmospheres if it s already crowded only do it if u can free some space..
one last thing is try to have a lil bit more variations in the bassline (say after every 2 - 2 and half mins..this will keep the listener more engaged in the track as it can get monotonous if the bassline stays the same for a long time ..)
but it is definetly good ideas just focus on the things mentioned above and u should get something really nice...

cheerz man tandav, ur input has been underlined and taken in,over the over crowding, yea i kindoff agree with you, those is comlex arrangements, but the sounds dont seem to be interacting with each other smotthly,or comfortably,its rather haphazardish,fighting!agree.minimalistik mmm hmm.atmospherics,check, will do,bass variations, hmm chk,wil keep in mind. fuk i have kickass monitors(dynaudio bm6a mk1), but i just figured out the exact setting i needed for the clarity(i had the level set at +4 db at the back instead of -10)(and also the lf,hf trims i just set), so i will work on the new settings soon and ur input will be implemented.
one thing which i cant seem to find is that motha fukka Killer lead. i mean i have looked in all these vst's but i cant seem to find 1 which really meakes me smile, all r too weak, or not the right note, or not rough enuff, or something or the other. does that mean i have to get me a nord lead or some analog synth?? do i have to?there is no other choices in the digital structure?and does anyone here have some experience on a nord rack version? how much will i get a 2nd hand nord lead in india? and how much do you think i should be payin for it? anyone got any experience in synths howla broz,

deemster: nice set, sounds all south afrikanas sounds, me like, nice and colorfull,still listening tho,8:40 entry aint smotth? is that shitty soundcloud fukin up the mix?yea man, it doin that skippin thing at 11:20 alsu soundcloud need better converters!but smooth mix man

maybe a nord does help man! maybe its a fukin illusion,i dono, but i do have synth1, and all the vsts that r there, but bro cant seem to find that right sound,i have looked and looked and looked for like 6 months now, but dont seem to find it. fuk a nord, maybe a better synth? any suggestions?i played with a clavia before, so i really like some of the sounds it was puking up,the access virus snow also has a small compact sound me like, but i'm very open to suggestioz, if u may bring up any,peace homz

I think the entry on 8:40 isn't smooth, though on the whole soundcloud has kinda spoiled the sound quality.

tandu: yea man even i kindoff somewhere inside me know that vsts can produce the all sounds imaginable no doubt, but to tell you the truth, a real analog synth, will be so so so sooo much more fun in the studio, tweeking those knobs after a chillllllum will be a blast hehehe, i guess i'll be smiling for a clouple of months figuring out those various sounds on the synth  ,even tho i have a nice midi cunt roller a novation sl mk ii which is awesome to work on, but a synth will be real fuckin fun,and i feel these hardware syths have been made for this purpose,for a reason,to give the artist a more hands on approach weather say in a live set and in the studio ofcourse. anyway even for vst's best way is to choose a few good ones and get to know them inside out, so i guess we can also learn the synth inside out and make it one of the arsenal with the rest of the vsts! if anyone can please suggest me some places to buy some good syths in india, or some place where i can get me a choice on some syths,if anyone knows and has bought from them personally or with friends and has tried and tested any synths, some kinoff info like this would rule my homeboyz.

deemster: try uploading on rghost.net, the stream from rghost for mp3 is much better than soundcloud, but if u upload in wave on soundcloud it wont skip, or fuck up the sound, it only fucks up on mp3 because the soundcloud converters r low quality,rghost converters r much cleaner. peace |
