If I buy a CD off psyshop I'll download and burn a FLAC rip the same day, so I don't have to wait for the real CD to arrive.
Then when the real CD gets here I keep it unopened, still in the wrapper. I'm weird like that  |

I buy almost everything that I play on beatport.
The other stuf I get from my label, promos but sometimes just wav that came back from mastering.
So 99% looks as a copy cd.

i burn my own and my friends music (that i got totaly 100% legit) on cds i buy in the store... looks like illeagal but actualy some of those are never even will releases (most 'optical human' for example are unr and wont ever be since he is not interested)
actualy.. some v/a's i make the mastering to (as well part of the music there as well totaly with labels premission) i could play before is realese yet there isnt even original printed yet..
and offcourse there is the safe way , i will never bring the original to play it i will copy it since i dont feel like buy the same cds 30 times.. 1 scratch on the copy and its gone and new one is in the case... also the cd case gets very dirty when i play (lots of dust.. well laptop is real problem with that)
but the reality... no one ever asked me about it.

If u dj i am sure u dnt wnt ur originals to be spoiled, music nvr dies, bt cd do dies off if nt taken care properly and hence precaution is required, so if u find some metal case full of burned cds den jst dnt judge the dj, u dnt knw hw he/she is taking care of her stuff, so think before pointing figures...if ur conscious is clean u dnt need to explain it to ppl or anyone else...i belive in this funda...

In my djing days I used to buy a lot from Cosmophilia, no longer dj and cosmo is bankrupt... making my own sound now...
I used to tqake the original cd, s take care of them and by the time they were noodled out, they'sd be too old to play anyway...

be more placable ppl  you`re maybe experienced but do not forget you had to learn this wisdom also. Like with driver license - you had to learn and pass the exam to be a driver. It`s nothing wrong to tell the "fresh-ones" how everything works in the scene, even 100x times.

well i dont dj...but have sizeble collection of original psy cds. the reason i dont dj is because i am scared of loosing the cd...and the reason i dont bother burning copies is because i am too lazy.
i think in the future i will start a Psytrance Museum where i will put my entire collection on display. please send me promo material so i can start building the museum..it will be small not as big as the Guggenheim..but about 2000sq feet or so with 500 sq feet of stand still floor...the idea is to not dance when of the most banging psy is playing...if you stand long enough about 2hrs you get a special treat...one special stamp which when licked will post you the nearby galaxy or maybe straight to incas and mayas..or maybe the you the package will be sent across ...oh god this is getting obscene please preserve the brain ..
