if liking good music is idiotic
yes
i am an idiot
tarikad i think you shoudl go to the rave scene where elitism is welcome.
also you do realize
it takes MORE EFFORT to post complaints
than not posting at all.
Meghan is a great dj. So what if the tracks are old, what did they go sour? Curdle? Grow mold?
Who decides when to stop pplaying tracks? And who gave them the authority to dictate to the rest of us?
Above all why the hell do you care?
Its not like the fact that its Parvati stuff wasnt like
in the topic.
I love old music. Beethoven is great. Indian scales are great. 303s are great.
If you dont agree, youre welcome to your opinion, but you have to allow all of us the same freedom. Or you dont get yours. Thats how it works.
Ive been coming to this section for years and Ive never once seen a troll like this. Forst time for everyhting.
Also tarikid, if you think something should be done different, you ought to at least offer an alternative.
Otherwise you look pretty foolish.

Oldies, but goodies...
There's a lot of undercurrent about dance music being disposable, and I say funk dat.
Good music is good music, old or new.... Perhaps the music has evolved in a direction that the OP didn't resonate with and she created a mix to help us remember good times past. Not every mix needs to be of the newest stuff, and new doesn't always mean better either.
An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines. |

I still rock your first album Greg
If theres throwaway tracks, it seems to me that htey would have to be made to be thrown out, as in, carelessly and slapdash.
Its a gimmick, too, a dj playing only FRESH NEW stuff, or unreleased.
The dancefloor will dance if the music isnt absolutely awful, and idk, its on the tip of my brain, something about, dancing.... repetitive rhythms... being important....
Its not rock music, a good dj set, to me, youll barely notice an hour go by, let alone different tracks. If youre concentrating on each single one, youre missing out
alright Ill stfu, I just have always loved Meghans mixes and track selection, so I was taken aback that anyone would chuck rocks from teh sideline.
One final thing; theres always another way to mix the 'same old' thats new, and each of us mixes our own way, so judging a mix solely on tracks REALLLLLY misses the whole point of it being mixed.

the psytrance scene is full of elitism
i dont know what scene you haev been a part of the for the past 10 years
its all about who smokes the best super cream, who gets all the unrl tracks, and who gets to stand in the djbox during the party
hahahah
the scene has competley gone to trash ...sad times for psy these days |
