DJ Borris AKA DJ Kinetic Honda. and he's quite well known. dunno about his age tho, but he's well above the 16-17.

Well seeing the huge discussion I poped up here it's a bit funny, never thought I'd make so many waves by not speaking.
First of all thanks to everyone for the Congrats, I was 27 last sunday (2/9).
Now as to me and the scene in Israel. I'm no producer so you won't see my name on CD's. I wrote about trance for newzeek for the last 2 years (you israelis should know that mag) and now I'm moving on to layla magazine starting from the 13/9 in cooperation with Yediot Achronot.
As a DJ I'm still quite underground but I'm trying to break through (Like everyone) only that my taste and style isn't too popular around this country. i insist in playing the more minimal side of trance and mixing it up with techno and even some house.
I understand gady and bandit aren't here but maybee they reloged in so I wonder if they could tell me where have they heard me play?
All well, Boris.

Dear borris,
I heard you play in the GK cruise back then, and I DIG your minimal style, I think you're a DJ of style, and that is fucking important, but you cant blame Gadi and Bandit here, they have a point there, even when Yaniv & Guyshanti & Shahar back you up, its still obvious... you are quite unknown, they are unknown aswell... the scene had changed and some people still think its the 90's ... Astral projection are dead , from my point of view, their new style is definitly pukeable at trance parties and I think Gadi & Bandit would've preferred (without knowning it) listening to you playing than to them... but still, the known proffesionals are always more respected than the unknown "amateurs" and it kind of makes sense, after all, the fact you worked in Newzweek for 2 years and made connections from here to goa dosn't make you a Top-league DJ, since you dont produce independent music, same for Yaniv, from my point of view you both are TOP dj's, but most of the israeli trance crowed thinks DJs should be Producers and the other way around. IT SUCKS! THIS WHOLE SCENE IS TWISTED! Why do DJs who want to get known have to proove themselves as producers?? isn't quality mixing enough? (apperantly not!!)
Why do producers who want their music to get known have to proove themselves as quality DJ's? isnt pure touchy music enough? (apperantly not)

sometimes a feeling that this world is too twisted takes over me.

and if you are still reading this message...
SORRY FOR THE CRAP WRITTEN ABOVE.
Peace.

Actually I wanted to say a word too.

We had a lot of discussions here about beatmatching and stuff, and I have to say that I'm here in .ru and I have never heard Borris play, but I really like to see his top10s from time to time and I like that he slips into other styles, futhermore I have no doubts that Borris' techniques are very very good. There are also many moments in his point of view on what the dj should be, I came to agree with. I'm sick and tired of these unreleased cowboys.

Good luck on your way man.

Everybody, Thanks for the support. I know my oppinions on trance and electronic dance music aren't allways conforming to the norm here but it's good to know there is pluralism here.
Optimistique: I do try and see myself as a profesional DJ and Musician at the moment I dj about once a month but I'm trying to get more bookings. s to gady and Bandit (are they the same) they didn't talk about me being known or not but about my DJ skills, but they failed to specify where did they hear me and why did I sukk. this is no way to criticize.
oh and if anyone want's a DJ set they are allways invited to my house to hear me spin for them in private.
all well, Boris.

borris i heard u playing in the good karma boat & in the good karma party after the boat & both times i was bored ...

great mixing but, too much of it ,nice music but in the wrong order (imo)

my advice : dont interfeer the tracks to much !
let them speak for themselves & also when u play a trance party make an affort & play trance !

Shahar, this goes back to our argument that I don't see any difference between Trance and Techno in DJ technique, and that's the Way I'm playing Trance, Like Techno, bits and Pieces of trax interweaved.
