I would like to present a new project I have been working on; a vast archive of (mostly psytrance) releases that I personally recommend:
http://www.ektoplazm.com/projects/essential-selections/

Please read the introduction and don't confuse this for an authoritative list of all-time classics this is just some music I like from the very dawn of psytrance history straight through to the modern day.

all of them are pretty good, but I think you can strecht it a little bit more to contain the really big jewels.
So far so good.           "The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures."

I think you ought to include Tutankhamon 9000 album in the 2008. Seems like you haven't heard it since it's da bomb. Seriously. Check, it, out.

Didn't know where to post this so I guess this thread will work.

I want to give a big shout out, raise my glass and thank Basilisk for all he's done for psytrance through ektoplazm.com.

I remember him from the 604 list back in the day and always respected what he had to say. Now I see that he's still very much into it, probably a lot more than before. This is dedication, faith in the music and generous in his energy to share it with us.

So, here's to you Basilisk, and thanks for everything.
