i was just about to say the same thing.. wow, the collection of great mixes on this site just keeps getting better and better... pretty soon you will have all of the worlds top dj's on your site.
just an idea, you should includ a little "hit" counter in all the dj's profiles to see how many downloads they all get.. just an idea..
keep rocking Aero-groove..

I don't really think it's a good idea, and if you do decide to do that i think the results should be for internal use and not for the wider public as i see no valid reason for these statistics IMHO.

I think it could add extra life to the site, showing how many downloads its getting.. and eventually, it will be an advantage to the site to publish this information, maybe to aquire sponsors or something of that sort. Also, to show the people who's hot and who's not.. it will give a good idea to the public what styles of music are more popular..
why do you think its a bad idea??

With all due respect... Quite frankly I think the technique in this mix was worse than I personally expected from a well-respected DJ, who has been playing for over 10 years. There are double-beats in surprisingly many mixes, and some of the mixes are also poorly timed - quite disappointing.
The trackselection is very good though, and certainly has me craving for the "Double D" compilation

profane: man, you've got balls bigger than elephants to come out and say stuff like that.. i like you even more now. its good to see people give honest reviews.. i haven't had the chance to take a listen to this mix yet and, well, since when was talent important anyways?? i mean, in an era where Goa gill is seen as the worlds best psytrance DJ, talent seems far from important when it comes to mixing. But hey, there are some good, talented DJ's out there, maybe they just aren't "as important" in our scene as Goa gill and the rest of em..

@asher
Well, track selection is most important:-) This is what people never learn, and what should matter most for a psy dj to master. You got that sorted out
Your mixing can improve, very quickly, if you know where the problem lies and how to fix it. If its double beats, pitch bending is all you need + slightly more critical ears for timingm. This equals out to more concentration perhaps.
pr0fane is one of my best friends here in Denmark, we and others actually sit often and listen to each others mixes/sets and go "wooo thats a nice mix", and "baaah, not so nice mix" - Nit picky bastards we are, all of us:-)
Keep it up, spend more time listening to your own sets This usually works well.

"when was talent important anyways??"
Talent has always been important, do not kid yourself - Most psyfreaks out there appreciate good mixning, the problem just is many dont know what constitutes good mixing, meaning, they are not demanding enough.
Focus is on the music itself, and not the DJs technique...
However, that IS changing, ever so slowly. At least here in Denmark.
I still marvel wih the stupidity of many organizers, who book djs without ever having heard them. Such be many artists Live + DJ 2 for 1 deals.
All the while they could have had kick ass djs, for less, who would spin better music with far better technique.
@Aero-Groove.com
Thanks for releasing all these interesting mixes, good luck you ya

100% agree with everything that you pointed out Profane.. You would think that with 10 years experience as a trance dj.. maybe in 20 something will start to shine.. But yeah, i'd recommend fading your mixes in this case. thank god im not on lsd right now listening to this one.. hehe..
Looking forward to the next Dance N Dust Compilation though.. still listening to Dusty Nations.
