how would you process your snare like that?
or might i need a sample? if so, any of you got one?
thanks in advance!

sounds like way too much distortion though, I'd be careful with it. It just sounds like it's clipping all over the place. Or it sounds like you're listening through crappy speakers that can't handle it. They distorted the kick too though.           www.musicproductionnatural.com || www.facebook.com/djamoeba | facebook page

It's distortion from the bad quality of the video. The person that uploaded the video forgot to bring the volume level down, it has happened to me a few times.           Free album out now:

ah! i thought that might have been it. It's never happened to me so I didn't know. Is there a better quality link somewhere?           www.musicproductionnatural.com || www.facebook.com/djamoeba | facebook page

Nooo it is a rather non generic effect, i heard it in this song called crazy pony on multiple tracks as well, but i dunno
when i hear the snare close in the beginning it seemed as if there was a somewhat control over the distortion as well o_0            http://soundcloud.com/li-fe

I don't like the camel stuff... sounds too digital and harsh... i like distortion units in cubase, the tube one and quadrafuzz... for external vst i like the Antares Tube and the WaveArts Tube Saturator which sound amazing but is a CPU devourer. For free stuff Cyanide and TAL Tube are nice.

I'm totally in love with Audio Damage's Kombinat at the moment, very juicy (or apocalyptic!)           www.soundcloud.com/vonoom | www.vonoom.bandcamp.com | www.facebook.com/vonoom | www.flikflakfamily.com
