A friend of mine has been kind enough to send me some guitar samples I wrote for him (I can't play the guitar.. yet)

It's with an electric guitar, but he couldn't record them through the effects or amp, so its kinda 'acoustic' sounding.

Are there any specific guitar-type effects I can use to add amp distortion and wind it up to electric heaven?
