I know this issue has been discussed before, but after watching the pics of the After at the Pacha, I cannot help myself of being disgusted to the bone.
What has happened to our scene? How come almost every event has become so commercial?
How come you get to see such pics of a wide majority of arsim and frechot on e and 14 year old girls kissing each other cause it's "erotic". Judge for yourself. Go to here: www.atraf.co.il and you'll see pics on the left of the screen. Click on them. Does this look like a trance party? Hell NO!
How come u've got a certain woman dj that for the "pauza" makes out with chicks on the stage (and no she is not gay)? What is this? House scene?
I find myself going out less and less lately. There are only very few events that I do make the effort to attend to.
Don't tell me it's because I'm getting older. Yes I know trance is becoming more and more commercial. But I'm still shocked to see to what extent.

I dunno, I think we do need more kissing girls like this. maybe we need more kissing in general. and more girls. yes. for sure.
now, to the point:
As u yourself used the term "Party", it means someplace where ppl are having fun or dancing to the sound of music. If you add the term "Trance", you probably refer to the psychodelic trance music, which forbids wearing clothes that might indicate a finer taste in fasion and/or having a certain origin. This kind of human garbage has no right to experience the enlightend sounds that Simon and Raj are producing, eh?
I prefer to stick to the first term (party), and specialy when the event takes place in the Pacha it should be obvious and even welcomed to have a crowd that goes out just to have fun and not to prove anything.
In all over the world the term "Trance" is used to describe general repetetive dance music, with specific reference to "Goa-trance" as a sub-genere. Only in Israel does this term refers solely to the psy- trance music (and is allowed only to 'psy-trance' ppl).
Candy, you are the last person in this forum I'd expect to read something like this from. shame on you.

I've already expressed my frustration about the party galleries sometimes displaying 150 portraits of people that don't interest me to the slightest, i want to see the party... sure it might be fun for those on the pictures to find themselves on the websites but that's about where it's purpose ends...
as for the parties themselves... I've seen a tiny bit of isreal and the bit i saw i liked a lot... but these where small parties in "isolated" locations with only 1-300 people...
Bigger "raves" as i'd like to call them, have a totally different feel to them, a different (much larger) crowd and organisers with different intentions (most of the time)... I've only been to a few large events that still had the vibe that thrills me personally.
If a dj (male, female, whatever) needs to put up such an act to gain popularity (otherwise you would do this next to the stage and not on it i assume) these are pretty sad times. I don't see this happening in the house scene here (don't know why you personally dislike the house scene but over here they act normally )
ps. this doesn't mean i don't like pretty girls, but i'd like to see more party
pps. more female photographers NOW!

first and foremost the scene does get commercial in countries where trance is allowed and happens
the only way to stay underground is for the cops to come bust parties down everyonce in a while
then the freaks only come out at night since they are hardcore. and the rest do their charlie in clubs and bars
boom

first of all to all those not from israel...
israel is a very discriminative party and sadly so is the the trance scene, i myself don't have too much of a problem dancing next to arsim (toughguy's, trouble makers, etc...) as long as they don't bother me. alot of the psy-trance people only want to see "beutiful people" at parties.
ravergirl...
i personally have not been in israel for a few months. before that i didn't have too much of a hard time finding decent parties to go to. true, some had more people to my/your liking than others and some were generally better than others. i just made sure i stay away from places like the pacha which is a genuine club set to make the biggest profit every weekend and has a weekly following of people into dance, house and other genre's. if you want a genuine psy-trance party, go to the woods, not a club. i also saw the line-up, everyone know's that nowaday's simon posford, raja ram and the others on that list attract that crowd and most psy-trancers stay away already...
so to sum it up. i don't think that anything bad has happend to our scene, it's just evolved from being totally underground and appealing to a very sellect group of people to being a popular genre's that all kinds of people enjoy. now you just have to find the right party for you every weekend. and not just go blindly to any one of several trance parties that are out there every week... |

I agree with Helen, what is wrong with girls, or girls kissing each other?

Satlanny if you would have taken the time to read my post you would have read that I wrote that I almost don't go out anymore, and I carefully choose the parties I go to.
I am in this scene for many years (much more than you I believe), and I don't go "blindly" to any party like you say.
I wouldn't get near such a party, and if I did go there, I would go for the music and not for the crowd.
And ars for me is not distinguished by the color of the skin, but by his behavior. Somebody who's dancing near me and who is asking for my attention and if I gently try to imply him I'm not interested so he goes and becomes more and more "demanding" – this for me is an ars - Somebody who doesn’t know what is to respect other ppl but is thinking only about his "honor". Somebody that could slap you if you dare to say something that doesn't "suit" him.
So pls read more carefully what I'm writing and what I mean before trying to "spread your wisdom".

I still dont get the big fuss about a commercial party that is being held in a commercial place.
What's the shouting for? just because Raj, Astrix, Duvdev and Ari were there and are associated with the psy-trance scene does it mean that is has to be a traditional psy party?
As for the above artists, in many places around the world they are not considered 'psy' artists at all, and some mainstream DJs are also playing them (Sacha, Orkidea, Karl cox).
And about the pose? I agree that is funny, but I can't know from the pictures whether these guys are having fun or raveging innocent dames. There is a generalization of the common Ars (Arsus Matzuyus) that they are all criminals and harrassers, but I think that they are adding a lot to the fun and ecxitement with their outward behaviour - all this as long as no offence is being taken by anyone or a crime is being commited (equal to anybody who attends, also the ones who wear Sharwals and dreadlocks).

Indeed. As Party Galleries moderator, I'm sick of that too |

i dont get whole allure of 2 girls kissing...this sounds like such beavis an butthead mentality... whatsall the fuss?
it seems like this party used girl on girl action as part of the show, which i find pointless! u have to think to urself, why is the dj trying so hard to publicise the party? he/she are emphasising the wrong points here: concentrate on having superfluous music, not sex as entertainment. and if the party is all about gimmicks, im not interested... if u want booty and titilation, go to a strip club.... |

Well, unfortunately it seems as if the stripping clubs are invading the trance parties…

What an open mind you got candy. You should get out some more instead of sitting in front of a computer sounding like a old woman judging the youngsters.
I am so dead tired of all the name calling in this forum. Some people in this forum are worse that the so-called Arsim's - they are racists... 1000 times worse in my opinion
