Discovery 2 ???

im on a mac Running Logic 7.1 .. There are quite a few Plugs that are PC only. The Discovery is one of the ones I would like to get. I cant run this on my Mac.. So my question is to any one out there.. Is there a plug for OSX that is similar or can create that same leather , balloon stretching sounds..
Ive made a few patches using Albino.. Ive achieved this other sopund.. but no luck. Not like the discoDSP

I also have a Ibook Laptop. I was considering selling it and buying a Viao Sony..

as far as i know,
the Synth1 vst sound's the same and its free....
i dont know if it's good for the mac but it's sound's good!!!

Why changing to pc if u have logic 7 with es1,es2,sculpture those are kick ass synths, i don´t see why changing just for 1 synth, btter save for a nord lead and stick with logic 7, just a point of view. |

stay on mac and use midi from your mac to a pc running the stuff that you haven't got on mac!

Im not planning to switch. I have a Dual G5 system running Logic. I will not change that  However I have noticed that there are many kick a$$ plugs on the PC so I was thinking to sell my Ibook and buy a Viao Laptop and then ethernet them together to sync them via midi over Lan.
Anyone run this kind of configuration?

That does make sense, personally, I like to record my synth lines to audio, so I probably would do that instead of worrying about the midi sync. Unfortunately there aren't any Mac versions for the Discovery or the Synth 1, your only options would be to get the Muse Receptor or buying a Nord Lead... You could probably find a used Nord for cheaper than finding a new laptop though...

For Discovery 2 try the Nord Lead 2... The Nord Lead 1 will make the sounds that you are talking about as well, and I've tried to make the same sounds you are wanting to with the albino, and it can be done, but the Discovery sounds a bit different than the Albino...

Well Im gonna buy a Virus A from my friend.. he needs the cash and he offered it to me for $400 US.. this appears to be an " OK " Deal.. Any input.
