i enjoy that alot.... the other day i was watching Hellraiser II and the sample of "the mind is a labyrinth ladies and gentlemen...." came on- i wasnt even really paying attention just the tv in the background.... but that triggered the psysex - puzzle (final solution) track and i completed the sample without even understand it was from that track until the end... it happed a few other times where i was sitting with non trance people and they were like "huh?" how did u know that?

love that stuff           "On the other hand, you have different fingers."

hehehe, i love that as well, my girlfriend sometimes thinks i am a psycho (not that i am not) for cracking up and pointing out all the samples i recognize in movies such as-
Contact (jodie foster sample on infected track)
Cheech & Chong- Up in smoke
Kill Bill 1 (psysex track with Konnichiwa...)
that movie with the Noisemaker sample...

the list goes on and on... i love that, but another challenge i like to give myself is to point out sample material in movies... too sweet, i trip myself out with that.

I was watching virtuosity for the first time at my friend's house and I heard the sample in the beginning of I.M.'s Acid Killer and finished the quote. My friend kinda looked at me funny and asked, "I thought you said you've never seen this before?" I had to play the track for him.

I am seriously considering getting access to a TIVO and just spending one day a week watching TV and movies on cable just to find obscure samples. I've really been diggin the history channel recently...           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

Yea Sci-Fi and Horror stuff kicks A for samples. I remixed some shit with the otherwise atrocious Freddy VS Jason movie. Sounded pretty sweet.

Chrichton's The Sphere is another one of my favorites.           Darkness...music...mind...nature...a ray of light...cosmic ascension

i was dying to see fear and loathing in las vegas for a couple of years....coz the first time i had seen it was long back and i dint give a damm about the movie then...but for the past 2 years i tried to get myself a copy of the movie to check it out...and it was as if i knew almost every line from the film...(lol thats exaggerating..but had heard many lines from the movie) and i think thats pretty cool...

i think every line spoken in that movie is fit to be a sample in a track

I was watching a late night movie the other day, very classic style aliens coming to earth movie but probably set on the 60s 70s or even maybe 80s. but a lot of samples came out of it and many of them were used in the psysex come in peace album. Anyone knows the name of the movie?           "Great things are only possible with outrageous requests." Thea Alexander

so true.... happened to me as well...
the most surprising was when i was watching some b-movie on the movie channel and hearing a sample from F.S.O.L's "Dead Cities" (I had killed a man, a man who looked just like me....), shame I don't think i'll be ever able to tell which film was it....

About recognizing samples and finishing them: I always name the psytrance track from which I recognize the sample. When I do it people usually get irritated. "I thought you said you never saw this... And, what sort of info is that?? That's no good to me now is it? " hahaha!
Anyway, watching movies is sort of a hobby of me and my brother and we usually take some samples from movies to use in our tracks. In our 'Dreamscape' track (which was on download in the new tracks forum a while back) we used a sample from Nightmare on Elmstreet 4 in which a teacher in a highschool goes on about dreaming.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

Sure it's funny !
Even more when your watching the movie translated. You're like "I've heard this somewhere before..."

Happenned to me lately with this 'spliff politics' stuff from Human Traffic taken by GMS.
Or the quote from Mickael Moore in Visual Paradox track.
