Hey guys,
Here is a synth/soundscape that I am trying to figure out. It's a bit of a challenge. If anybody could give me a pointer on where to begin, I would be very grateful!
It starts at 07:50

Peace!

try absynth... there are alot of patches made that sound like that.

it sounds like detuned saw waves, hi pass filtering, with the amp env. attack put up at a higher level so the sound sweeps in. and with some sustain and a bit of release... and maybe a filter mod. env. for more character. then add alot of reverb and tweak around and see where you get. good luck!           http://soundcloud.com/brentmalik

http://www.vintagesynth.com/yamaha/dx100.php

based on the fact it sounds REALLY like the pad in Goldie's "Inner City Life".
