ok ok guys, take it easy.... to each his own.
I understand now that the reason i like these tracks is the longer loop they have...it breaks the 8 bar madness that full on has and lets the track and listener breath!
i like it!
  "....or is it???"

There's no accounting for taste and arguing in this manner is not helping anyone...well...it does bump my thread up...so...my dad can beat up your dad...etc...etc

Coming from a techno background, (although I did get into trance in 1994), I like (and strive to) to get some sense of psychedelic hypnotism...I don't like many big breaks/glitches/madness that just stop the flow of a tune. I understand some people like the crazyness and that's fair enough, but I make music that I would like to dance to in a party, just effortly continuous, with space for sounds and their reverb tails to breathe, and a tempo that allows you to focus and latch on to sounds.
I don't like talking about my music, but there you go.

Finally getting around to listening to the release on Ektoplazm (that rules, btw) cos disco hooligans is now famous with his funniest isratrance motto entry
Nomolos said exactly what I feel too. Love the long loops. Production is phat as hell, Love that too.
These guys are coming to music with a certain maturity and taste that I expect in psychedelic trance and is very refreshing to hear.
So big ups to dh and hope you guys keep uncovering the good stuff in your music.

It reminds me... hmmm.. I guess the times when the full on was psychedelical and mystical!
This is calm, little touchy and proggish, but not too progish, and on some parts morning-breeze-in-your-face music, sometimes too calm for my taste. I don't like the basslines, but the production is fine thou, more then fine... The melodies are well placed as they are crawling around and make a nice trippy mood!!! I would put some noises and few bpms in it to give a certain weirdness, but thats me
Definitely Tristan-Psaras-X-Dreamish influence... As previously was said, I can feel the maturity and the musical-electronic experience of Disco hooligans.
I wouldn't play this on a party, but it was nice here in my room together with my pipe-friend
Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must lead... |

I never want to go over 142, just don't like it as much as 142, 140, 138 (my favourite) as far as noises are concerned, I like consonant noises which for me is the good weirdness...the new album has more of that stuff....but I despise the dissonant noises you hear a lot in the fast stuff, it just ruins my vibe.
Anyhow cheers for taking the time to listen!
New stuff up on http://www.myspace.com/discohooligans
Next release is "Manic Guru" on Harmonia Records' Palpitation V/A CD http://www.discogs.com/VA-Palpitation/release/1789522
sometime mid july this one is coming out.
P.S. The lady GaGa booty is a pisstake, but we love taking the piss

disco hooligans, nice album guys!
i have a friend that has a friend that told him that this album is already beating the tropical beaches on the south, shaking woofers on the sand
nice go ektoplazm
i have to say that i was expecting something different, i think for me it still sound pretty fullonish in some ways, but i guess thats because i read your stuff about music production and other eletronic influences. But still i think its a great rls, with a great production, some fresh ideas, its well better than many other stuff coming out, more potential and more to add.
