I'm having trouble with NI's Kontakt. I have a pattern of hihats playing, but some of the hits don't play. It is as if some are played shorter. All notes have the same velocity, and i don't have any kind of modulation on the hits. Does anybody here have the same problem or a possible solution ?

Here's a shot in the dark, do you have the maximum number of notes set too low(Channel polyphony)? If you do, then kontakt will chop the end of one sample off when the new one begins (like a gate, kinda). If you set the value to a higher level this might work. (In case you don't know where to do this, look for where you select the channel output, just next to it is -> 0/32 or maybe in your case -> 0/1, increase this value to add more polyphony).

Also, try upping the memory per channel (I think it's called that) on the options page. Try increasing the value in case kontakt is trying to load and unload samples from memory too often, this can cause stuttering (and has caused a few crashes for me too!).

If your samples are large, try using the Direct From Disk feature rather than loading a huge sample into memory (streaming the large samples may relieve some of the strain from kontakt & your CPU).

Hope it helps dude
