disabling the spacebar function on m-audio fw410

for some reason - the good people at m-audio decided that if the spacebar is pressed on the mixer - the levels go up to maximum... as you can imagine - i have nearly destroyed my monitors and ears several times by not making 100% sure im inside cubase and not on the mixer....
any way to disable this dangerous function?

I dunno about that.... what are you using the fw 410 mixer for besides setting the intial volume to your system? I usually don't need to have my mixer channel open all the time. I just set it to the setting I need....

Yeah, very strange why would they do that...?
I guess people at m-audio like loud music at a touch of a button! Maybe if u write to them in the next update for this software they will fix this...

And i think it’s better to have a mixer between ur sound card and monitors

I miss this 'feature' on the mac 410 panel, but then I have other 'features' that the windos doesn't
