I had similar feelling than ppl when I saw the "expanding audio process"... A BIG "WOOAAHHH"....
It looks like it will change the sample packs from producers... From now u can have a full sampled guitar from few good loops.

I disagree, once you've got the hang of it the UI actually gives you everything you need right there to do the job. Going through the tutorials is highly recommended though, as it is with any piece of new software you start using. It's very quick to use once you've got the hang of it, which should only take an hour or so tops.

Maybe I didn't spend enough time with it. It was quite a few years ago and I thought maybe I could fake making my singing voice sound like it doesn't suck...
After seeing this though, I might have to consider changing over to it and use it for my DAW. 10 years ago I think the current thought would have been that this type of stuff is simply not possible.
Really, what is most amazing about this is we can not be that far off from truely real time, polyphonic pitch to midi. Maybe its already in there now though, I don't know.
Please though, everyone buy this program and don't be an asshole by pirating it. If everyone bought their stuff there would probly 20 other programs that do stuff that is thought to be not possible. Piracy is far from getting something for free. We all lose out on programs that never get made that push the boundries of what is possible far back like this. since we never see these programs it only seems like its free. |

how come no one tested it here? Strange... Well I did! used it as a plugin (for 5 mins). And it seems I can answer my own question: no it can't read 'dirty' sounds. I used it on a 1/32th arpeggio at 75bpm (or 1/16th at 150 which would be typically psytrance) with some effects on it like delay and melodyne didn't recognize it as a melody but as a percussion phrase.
So keep your efx-dogs caged before you use it. The program itself looks rather easy to use actually! And I'm sure if you abuse it in the right way it can come up with some very interesting stuff for breaks too!
It reminded me of ableton live in a way...

Whether or not it works with all material it's still an absolutely amazing feat! I'm thoroughly impressed!

Dude this version won't be out for a couple of months. The program you used is the older version which doesn't support polyphonic material.

LOL @ the interview at the end.
"I'm not very good at DSP"
"anyone could do it"
Even if I don't think I will have very much use for the technology myself it's truley one of the most amazing software developments I ever seen.
