I wonder if it still works on harsh distorted detuned synthlines with heavy lfo on the filter. Won't the program flip out on the frequencies? On "well behaving" guitarlines it seems to work. Plz give feedback those who buy (or try) it.           http://www.soundcloud.com/bandarlog

Besides the fact this is really cool technology, it is very nicely presented too. Great demo.

Sex!

Amazing piece of software! And I'm not easily impressed.

I don't know if I'd have a use for it though. If I'm recording guitars I'll just get it played right the first time. I'm not sure who this is aimed at, remixing or changing samples you already own?

i have a feeling it wont recognize these sounds...
usually when the cutoff filter(especially when theres some resonance) is tweaked and the fx is going thru distortion, i used a few progrrrams to try to extract midi out of one of my wav. synthlines that i made, but pretty much every note in the scale was coming thru :/           [[[G|L|I|T|C|H]]]

you should first wait to try the program before getting too excited.
Melodyne's technology has been pretty mind blowing for years now. The downside is the UI and workflow are quite time consuming.
To really get the most out of it, it felt like you almost had to change to it being your DAW.
